Upcoming speaking event in Nashville, Sept. 9

August 22nd, 2017 | 19 Comments | Posted in Miscellaneous

rna conference artworkI’m honored to have been invited to speak about the New Apostolic Reformation at the Religion News Association’s annual conference, a professional training event that brings together religion reporters and scholars from across the country to discuss trending topics in the world of faith, ethics and spirituality.

This year’s conference will be held in Nashville on September 7-9, and will be attended by religion reporters at newspaper, online outlets, and radio and television stations, as well as experts and communicators of religion. Typical media outlets represented include The Associated Press, CNN, The New York Times, Chicago Tribune, The Washington Post, and Religion News Service

I will make a presentation and take part in a Q-and-A format session during a panel titled, “The New Revivalists.” The two other panelists who will speak during this panel from different perspectives are Paula White (the pastor of New Destiny Christian Center in Apopka, Florida, and President Trump’s spiritual advisor) and James Goll (the president of God Encounters Ministries).

I’m thankful for the opportunity to educate the media about the New Apostolic Reformation and would appreciate your prayers.

Holly Pivec is the co-author of A New Apostolic Reformation?: A Biblical Response to a Worldwide Movement and God’s Super-Apostles: Encountering the Worldwide Prophets and Apostles Movement. She has a master’s degree in Christian apologetics from Biola University.

  1. Watchman Says:

May the Lord guide your words and give you His wisdom as you share Holly, and may He convict the hearts of those who hear about the dangers of the NAR. God bless!

  2. Mark trumble Says:

Way to go Holly…way to stand up for the truth! Don’t be intimidated by those big name Pharisees.  You go girl! We are all behind you!

Let the sword of the Spirit cut to the truth.

  3. Thomas Heward Says:

It has been a long time since I opened your email directing to your post.

I use to come here perhaps 20 years ago when I was called as a watchman to warn America and visited Morning Star in NC headed up by Rick Joyner. Spent 9 months there week after week,  they loved spiritual dreams, but they certainly did not like mine.  I had maybe 15-20 serious warning dreams that Rick Joyner, Morning Star and the NAR had been led astray and their calling as prophets and to bring Revival to America had gone in the ditch. I would type up my dreams week after week and than put them on the windows of the cars parked outside their rented church building for all who attended to see.  Be the leadership or congregation.

Eventually it was discovered I was the culprit and within 1 week I was “Kangeroo Kourted” out of Morning Star Ministry by Leadership and told never to return.

23 years have passed and in 2004 my calling changed from Watchman with a Doom & Gloom message for America “much like the message of Dumitru Dudumann” to a message backed by multiple dreams and His Rhema Word of hope and a new future for America if His Church and His People in His Church would Repent and I was shown Leading a Revival in multiple dreams.  Well it is 2017 now and although I continue to hear these things the time line for Revival in America has shortened but having a new President provides a temporary opening to stir a Revival time is still of the essence.

Part of my reason for sending my thoughts is “You Holly” who were seeing biblically many of the things I saw in dreams about Rick Joyner and the NAR
posted a Baptist  (not a Pentecostal as Joyner is) speaking at an NAR Convention about “down to Earth biblical truth” that America must have a Revival and prayer is foundational.   I see nothing about his sermon to the NAR that contains biblical error,  which you are known for addressing.  Can you explain why?

    Thanks Tom Heward currently
in New York with a calling to bring Revival to America.

  4. Glenn Murray Says:

You are courageous to appear on a panel with those two.  However, you are just the right person to juxtapose truth with the heresy they are spreading.  Will be praying for you.

  5. Preferring the Narrow Street Says:

    What a great opportunity!
“Father, thank you for Holly and for this opportunity that You have given her to be heard.  We ask that You will give her peace and clarity of mind.  That You will enable her to understand what is at the heart of the questions being asked and that You will speak the truth in love through her for the sake of Your Church Lord, we ask these things in Jesus’ name.  So be it.”

  6. Joaquin Says:

  7. Angie Says:

I’m so thankful that you will be there to be speaking TRUTH.  Ill be praying for you and that the TRUTH continues to be shared by those who hear you.

  8. Theresa Says:

I look forward to a follow up piece after this conference.

  9. Joy McCloud Says:

Prayers as as you contend for the Faith. You were one of the very first names I came across when I became aware of this heresy called NAR. Thank you for continuing to warn through Spirit of Error and your books. God Bless and hope this will be made available to hear you share the truth.

  10. David Cox Says:

After relocating to Ecuador for my wife and I’s retirement, we got caught up in a NAR (NRA en Espan~ol) “church” that seemed to have a lot going on. . . but as I examined its roots where all this activity was coming from, it soon became obvious they were getting their cues from the NAR, and specifically, Bethel Redding and Bill Johnson.  Your weblog here was one of the only clear places on the Internet that had a clear word and understanding of what the NAR really is. . . and they aren’t anything near what they believe themselves to be, as you, dear Holly, already know.

We will be praying for you and the words you speak and the interactions you have with the other panelists. . . that you would truly represent Christ in all you do.  May His word shine brightly through you, Holly, and may those who listen repent and turn to the one True and Living Way. . . and return to the Shepherd while there is still time.

  11. Raynaud Jr Paul Says:

Will be praying for you Holly.  I am hoping that the panel discussion will be live on the web. Hopefully it will be recorded so that those of us who cannot attend can watch it.  Thanks for your faithfulness.

  12. Holly Says:

Thanks, everyone for your prayers. I’m not sure if the panel will be available later. I can provide a report after the event.

  13. Luis Castillo Says:

How could you? You’re being worst than all these false apostles
how can you share a pulpit with Paula White when everyone knows who she is who she’s related with
go back aMr review everyting you’re doing young lady because you’re more lost than the
the unvelievers, you’re not entering nor letting the rest enter.

I hope God can really open your eyes,

may the Lord bless you with discernment

  14. Diana Lesperance Says:

Blessings and prayers, Holly, as you go up against a giant. I will set a reminder on my phone and remember to pray for you. The Lord has prepared you!

  15. Watchman Says:

Luis, I’m sure that Holly will stand up for the gospel and give biblical answers to questions asked in the discussion forum. The disciples discussed and debated with the leaders of their day and this led to people hearing the gospel clearly shared which they wouldn’t have heard otherwise. It is NOT wrong or compromising to attend an event and engage in discssion with those we disagree with. In fact it is the Christian thing to do, so that people can hear truth. My prayer for Holly will be that:
“the Holy Spirit will teach you at that time what you should say” (Luke 12:12)

  16. Kathryn Says:

    Hi Holly,
What a great opportunity for those of the NAR persuasion to hear truth from you.  They may have yet to hear someone who is level-headed and unemotional in presentation.  I have been on both sides of these issues and sat under the teaching of those you will be with on the panel.  From the years I have read your blog posts and including both books, your strengths lie in the clear, calm presentation of the truth.  I pray for them to be open. rather than defensive or in -elitist mode due to their stance on the charismata (and practicing the gifts).  God bless you in your efforts, leading and guiding you in the way to go, giving you strength and assurance of His presence!

  17. Holly Says:

Thanks for your prayer and encouraging words, Kathryn!

  18. Watchman Says:

How did it go Holly? Was praying and look forward to hearing about it when you get a chance.

  19. Holly Says:

Thanks for your inquiry and prayers, Watchman! It went very well. I’m working on posting an update and will hopefully have it up by tomorrow.
