R. Douglas Geivett

My co-author, Doug Geivett, will be interviewed on the Janet Mefferd Show this afternoon at 3 p.m. Central Time, discussing our book A New Apostolic Reformation?. Janet Mefferd is a syndicated Christian talk radio host, and her program airs on more than 150 stations across the nation. You can also listen live online at janetmefferd.com or in the “Audio Archive” at your leisure.

Dr. Geivett,  a leading Christian scholar, has debated Richard Dawkins and other acclaimed atheists, including John Shook, Michael Shermer, and Matt Ridley. He’s a professor of philosophy at Biola University in Southern California, and has authored or edited numerous books. One of his areas of expertise is epistemology, which, in simple terms, asks how we can know that what we believe is really true. His expertise is vital in evaluating the claims of those in the NAR, like how do you know someone is really an apostle? How do you know a miracle has really occurred?

Tune in to the interview if you can and spread the word to others!

Won’t be able to tune in, will also transcript be available? Would be really useful for those like me who can’t listen to it live.

I missed the first hour-did not checked when ET is in my time zone. According to the summary i suppose this interview was in first hour today but not sure when they will put it up into audio archive.
It was bit too much advertisements in that show.

Kadri, The podcast is in the audio archive now: http://www.janetmefferdpremium.com/.

I listened to Dr. Geivett’s interview with Janet Mefferd and it was a good exchange of Q & A.  I think Christians who are not familiar at all with Apostles/Prophets move today=NAR will find a good introduction into the basics.  Hopefully they will buy your book and gain more insight into the framework you provide.  And begin to see their truly are concerns for those in NAR churches.

Only one downside for me was that the hostess comes across as a cessationist and Dr. Geivett did not really argue that the apostle and prophet giftings have continued.  For a charismatic like me, that would have been a “huge turnoff”and I would have done just that if I were still in an apostolic/prophetic (NAR) church.  But I am not so I could listen to it all.

Yes i got it and downloaded it for myself as in that broadcast Geivett answered to my end time question in NAR movement.
