My Vision and Your Help

September 8th, 2013 | 9 Comments | Posted in Miscellaneous

In 2007, I started my blog, Spirit of Error, because I wanted to warn people about the New Apostolic Reformation movement–a counterfeit form of Christianity that has made inroads into many Pentecostal and charismatic churches in the United States and throughout the world.

Since 2007, my subscriber list has grown and my blog receives hundreds of views every day. And, in addition to blogging, I have also co-written a book-length manuscript on the New Apostolic Reformation movement that provides a comprehensive overview and biblical analyses of NAR teachings and practices (and am presently seeking a publisher).

But there is still a need for more people to be warned about this movement. And you can help.

I am on a shoestring budget and am in need of financial support to expand this ministry.

My immediate need is a new laptop. My current laptop is four years old and is on its last leg. I’ve already replaced the power cord twice and the battery once, and now it won’t recharge any battery.

The specific laptop I am looking to purchase is the Sony VAIO Fit. Here are the specs.

Would you consider contributing a portion of the cost?

You may make a donation via PayPal here. Or you may send a check to:

Spirit of Error, LLC

Please note that Spirit of Error is not registered as a non-profit organization, so your donation is not tax-deductible. It is a gift from one believer to another.

P.S. My apologies for the messages that were sent accidentally from my blog earlier today. I was trying to figure out how to install a fancy fundraising tool. I’m still working on that!

UPDATE: My fundraising goal was reached and slightly exceeded, which helped me add some very helpful upgraded features to my new laptop. Thank you so much to those who contributed!

Hi holly, I think this is a great idea.  I sent you some cash.  I hope your able to upgrade to the new Vaio…   I have one too.   I frequent your website and have to say you do your research quite well.  I came out of a church that was creeping into the NAR teachings and when challenged, they kicked me and my wife out.  I guess they were too anointed.  Recently, they started using Bill Johnson’s teaching in small groups.  It is so black and white when your on the other side, but at the time I was so naive.  Thank you again for your wisdom and perseverance.  Keep up the good fight of faith.

    Hello Mark and Holly.

Thank you very much for your generous donation to my laptop fund. I really appreciate it and also your encouraging words. It seems that the “M.O.” in NAR churches is to kick out anyone who challenges the teachings. But praise God that your eyes were opened. Your story is an encouragement to people who have given up hope for loved ones to come out of this movement.

Hi holly, I know what you mean about cords & batteries etc… I’ve given you a donation to help get that Sony home. Come on everyone, give a buck or two to our sister..! Don’t you know a ‘worker deserves their pay’? Thanks holly, I’m learning lots from your web page. Gods kindness to you from Australia.

Thank you so much, Shane! Your support and encouraging words mean a lot to me.

You said “But there is still a need for more people to be warned about this movement.”  That is so true.  After you did my story, a woman who is still in a NAR church told me there was two different NAR’s and the one that hurt me wasn’t the same as the one Peter Wagner is associated with.  How do we reach out to these people and get thru to them?

So YES, we must do our part to make sure you can continue in your work.  I can always tell people to go to Spirit of Error and know they are getting the truth.  Thank you for all that you do.
