Hi...just stumbled on here and having some experince with "false that looks true" and "true that looks false" things in my own experinces I want to bring up the following for consideration in this and similar topics:

Without discernment from of Lord given to an individual, our ability to see what is "right" and "not right" is severely limited. Many times it is both...a believer speaking or interperting something of truth but in personal error or a person in error reporting something that just happens to be truth. In neither case is the person speaking "endorsed" by God but neither is the entirety of the content of their message necessarily "full in error".

Sometimes truth is mixed by the m ost sincere with things the Lord never intended and othertimes God uses a donkey. Sometimes God intends this as a test or for a purpose and other times it is the willful stubborness of the individual speaking or writing.

We should examine all things first and consider the source before rendering judgment and then go on and ask the Lord, "Is there some purpose in my seeing or hearing this that is not clear to me?". Often times that final question reveals something the Lord intended for us that goes far beyond the 'thing' that led us to the query.

I was led to purchase Rick Joyner's book many years ago and in reading it was quite aware that a lot of "the man" and his own interpertations are very strong in the writing--yet I also found something of the Lord in it. This isn't an endorsement of the book or the writer simply saying I found that God used it to show me something.
I have friends involved in Morningstar ministries and have a great number of concerns for them and many things that I am troubled deeply by that are presented in their various ministries...but I never forget that God can use anything. What is to be discovered is what His purpose is when He does so.

No critique of the site here intended. it seems very sincere and fairly balanced (after a short review). Just something to think over if you will.

God Bless.

I do not care how high and lifted up Charisma Magazine places Rick Joyner
nor do I care that either Strange or L. Grady consider him a powerful
man of God or that in their opinion God has used him.
Rick Joyner, if you read his nonsense and mess is a false prophet. If you
read the standards by which to judge a prophet and his word coming to
pass....Rick fails....If he fails once...he is a false prophet.
Let's quit giving these "prophet pimps" so much leeway in their continual
error. The Spirit of God does not miss in prophecy and no where do you
find in the N.T. the prophets missing it and sayings...."Ooophs...sorry!"
The Body of Christ has got to wise up and mature and hold these prophetic
rascals accountable for their glib statements....including Rick Joyner,
Kim Clement, C. Peter Wagner and a host of others.
They may profess salvation but as for their prophecy they should be
publicly sanctioned and told to repent of their fleshy ways.

I like the commentary of the end times by Ken Powers on www.futuretruth.com. He does not teach apart from the Old Covenant. That whole site is well worth reading and studing.

"Christians will be assigned to various levels of heaven. The Christians who served the Lord wholeheartedly, and with the right motives, will dwell in a level closer to Christ’s throne and will enjoy more of His presence, according to Joyner."

Jesus said: Mat 19:30 But many shall be last that are first; and first that are last.

If the last is first and the first is last, there is no first and last.

Excellent article. I never realized the depths of Rick's apostasy before. This teaching is great and I will save this for future reference.

I had most of Rick Joyners books for years & during that time I was battling suiside. When I was finally set free & tried to read his books they no longer made sense. A friend of mine said she never could understand what I got from them & now neither can I. Liz

yet another day

two people slip into eternity every second.

most going to hell because they do not know Christ.

but alas... more Christians get up in arms about the timing of the rapture.

i went on the street yesterday asking people about their spiritual lives. none cared of pre-mid-most-pre wrath, not cared or knew of rick joyner. but the majority wanted to hear of Jesus. all had been lied to about Him. most had lived around people that argued their faith, but never lived it. sad to know that we strongly hold to when He is coming again, but are missing out on the reason He came to begin with.

(there is only the meaning to scripture God intended to convey, when it was given.)

Amen Mark...I was hoping it was just a typo misunderstanding :-)

justin, laodiceanwarning, i should have been more clear in my first post. Yashua of course tells the five foolish virgins "i know you not". He doesnt tell them "i never knew you". i think that His answer to them could be like they were disowned, because they took the mark. had their name blotted out of the book of life. i understand what laodiceanwarning is saying about the "last trump". perhaps it doesnt have anything to do with the trumpets concerning Gods wrath? we are not appointed to wrath. there are people interpreting the prophetic end time events a zillion different ways. i belive there are slightly different perspectives, because we are all uniqe, as the gospel accounts reflect. however there are no private interpretations. there is only the meaning to scripture God intended to convey, when it was given. if these trumpets announcing the judgments are key to the timing of the rapture, then what about the sign of the sun, moon, and stars? clearly matthew 24 equates those signs with the rapture. they correspond with the opening of the sixth seal. i only belive in one rapture, so relax concerning that. i made no false statements. i just wasnt explicit enough in my first post, of the point i was trying to make. sorry. love mark
